Christian Is Back

A big "thank you" to all the friends that wrote and sent their well wishes while Christian was recovering from a work injury back in April. He has fully recovered and is back working with the band and ready to play out again as soon as possible.

Summer Tour Dates

The band is happy to announce its Summer 2008 tour schedule. Among the dates will be performances at C2G Ministries in Fort Wayne on Saturday 6/21 (Summer Music Festival with Pheen and Teay's Vein) and Friday Night Live at Jefferson Point Mall, also in Fort Wayne on Friday 8/29.

"As much as we love the studio and the writing process, we always look forward to the summer touring season," says Michael Archbold, guitarist for the band. "Warm summer nights, playing out, hanging with friends and family… there is nothing like it."

Several stops on the tour will be all age venues where younger fans will be able to see the band. "We love playing venues that allow us to play for the younger fans," added bassist Bryan Bankson. "Most of the time it seems that the majority of venues are 21+, but in recent years, there have been an explosion of clubs that cater to younger fans. This is a great opportunity to get our music out to the up-and-coming fans." All age venues include C2C on 6/21, Miss Q's on 6/27 (18+ club), Wooden Nickel on 6/28, and of course Jefferson Point on 8/29.

First Tracks Laid For New Album

The band is pleased to announce that the first tracks for the new album have been laid this past week. "We are extremely excited to begin the recording phase of the new album," stated vocalist Christian Schult. "The recording studio is our second home and we are glad to be back.

The band has also announced that it is planning new albums to be released in both 2008 and 2009. Adds Archbold, "We originally intended to write an all acoustic album for our new release, but as the new music came pouring out, it quickly became apparent that what we were writing demanded a larger pallet of instrumentation than simply acoustic guitars. Instead of abandoning the idea of an acoustic album, however, we decided to put an acoustic album out this year which will include re-interpretations of RG classics like "Horses" and "Burn." Next year (2009) we will release a full rock album with all new material.

The acoustic album, due out this Fall, will include around a dozen tracks, half of which will be new music and unreleased material. The other half will be the aforementioned re-interpretations and one or two covers. It will be completely self-produced by the band at its King James recording studios in Fort Wayne.

Drummer John Tingley stated, "We began laying scratch tracks for two unreleased RG songs, 'My Friends' and 'Tank'." We will finish scratch tracks in the coming week and begin drum tracking shortly there after.
