Album Update
So what
the heck it taking so long to release this album. Simply put, money. The band
has finished the recording phase of the album. The next step is mastering and
then reproduction. Recording was done in the band’s own recording facilities,
King James Studios and TNT Studios. However, mastering will have to be sent
out. The band has previously mastered at Sweetwater Studios. The band is also
considering other options. Reproduction is yet another matter. Both options
cost money.
Since the band doesn’t settle
for second rate projects, they are unwilling to make compromises on quality and
will wait it out until funds can be raised. Guitarist Mike Archbold states, “We
traditionally keep everything in house. DYI (Do-It-Yourself)
as they say. We have always been that way. This time around things are a
little different. In the past, live shows funded our projects. With a depressed
market and shrinking box offices, we are forced to look at other options.”
The band says they are
seeking investors to help fund the project. Drummer John Tingley adds, “We have
the inside track on some investors that seek out artistic projects including
music. Some of these folks are investors seeking a return. Others are simply philanthropists
seeking to give to the arts. We are preparing to submit our proposal. We are optimistic that we will be able to
raise the funds needed to complete.
The band has finished
touring for 2011 and plans a well deserved rest for a few months while the
album is finished and sets are revamped and updated. Check back often for
